A Digital Typeface for the Reimagined Field of Post-Digital Letterpress Printing.
Broadside with excerpts of the paper presented at Post Digital Letterpress Printing Conference in Porto, Portugal.
Printed at the letterpress studio of Rebecca Mullins, La Conner, WA, US and at the Color Group, Seattle, WA, US.
First part letterpress printed on a Vandercook 219, 1 passes. Second part printed digitally on a laser printer at The Color Group.
All broadside it typeset in my typeface Vine (link to Vine page). I produced this project as an example of the point I make in the article: Output affects the design of a typeface to the fact that it is hard to ignore; therefore, it should be an essential aspect to be studied and considered when designing typefaces for a wide range of uses.
